Arma 3, the third installment in the critically acclaimed military sim series, launched last year with a full fledged multiplayer mode, but no single player campaign; the campaign was to be made available to players as episodic downloadable content later.

After the first episode was made available to all players for free, the second episode will similarly be made available to all players, also for free, via an automatic update on Steam.

“Episode One helped players get to grips with the basic skills needed to survive”, said Jay Crowe, Creative Director on Arma 3. “Episode Two introduces a whole new set of challenges, giving players more freedom and responsibility in the wide, open terrain of Altis.”

The campaign for Arma 3, called The East Wind, is consisted of three episodes- the first was Survive, and Adapt marks the second episode. The final episode, titled ‘Win,’ is due for release some time in March.
