Skyrim: Depth of Field

NPCs: Now with 100% more interest

You either love or hate depth of field. This effect focuses on a particular object like NPCs while everything around feels distant and blurry. There are all sorts of video game examples that took the depth of field a bit too far and one such game was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It’s bizarre how everything will look okay when you are exploring or battling it out with enemies but the instant you begin a conversation with a random NPC the whole background drastically becomes distracting. Skyrim came with its share of glitches and bugs but this is one key area that could have used a bit more time during development.
