Cuphead Crosses 125,000 Copies Sold In Three Days On Steam

What a wonderful success for a great game.

It sounds like Cuphead is off to a good start. The PC and Xbox exclusive action platformer, which has received rave acclaim for its sense of style, as well as for its exacting and demanding gameplay, has apparently managed to sell a really good 125,000 copies in just three days on Steam alone, according to SteamSpy.

Considering that the game is also available on GoG and the Windows Store on PC (not to mention on the Xbox One), that’s a really good start, and bodes well for the title. Given the game’s troubled development, this is heartening to hear, and a major victory for artistic vision from smaller developers as well.

Of course, we don’t have sales from other platforms- if it has sold even half as well on GoG, Windows, and Xbox as it did on Steam, then it is en route to approach half a million copies sold by the end of this week. Which it absolutely deserves.

Cuphead is available now on PC and Xbox One.
