Yesterday, a rumor arose that the PC version of Dark Souls 3 would be locked at 30FPS, which would be… a remarkably oblivious move of Bandai Namco and From Software to make. Although it was just a rumor from an unlikely source, and it was unsubstantiated, it did end up getting a lot of PC players up in arms-
-which led to Bandai Namco confirming via the official Dark Souls 3 Twitter account today that the PC version would indeed be running at 60FPS, as opposed to the 30FPS lock that many had feared earlier. This cheeky announcement was accompanied with one of the best official GIFs that I have seen in a very long time.
Of course, now you all have a new thing to worry about- is 60FPS as high as the game can go? Or will it support higher resolutions too? Try to find that out next, everyone!
Dark Souls 3 launches next month on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
