ECHO Is A Brand New Third Person Action Adventure Game From Ex-IO Interactive Developers

Your greatest enemy is you.

IO Interactive is best known for the Hitman series, but it looks like former IO Interactive developers now want to try their hands at something new. The new game, ECHO, is by the development team Ultra Ultra, and it aims to “transport players into the far reaches of their imagination.”

ECHO sounds lie a fascinating concept- emergent artificial intelligence that studies the player, their patterns, and what they do, to shift, evolve, and dynamically alter the game experience to become a harder challenge and respond to the player intelligently. This effectively means that the game is pitting you against your own playing patterns- which is an intriguing concept for a game, especially if it ends up being pulled off right.

You can check out the first trailer for the game for yourself below. ECHO will be launching on PC via Steam, and on PlayStation 4, on September 19, for a price of $25.
