Massive file sizes for video games have become a widespread nuisance in recent years, but while most major AAA games do tend to have that issue, there have been some studios that have managed to avoid it. FromSoftware is one that hasn’t really put out games with awfully large file sizes, and it looks like that’s going to continue with the developer’s next game.

As per @PlayStationSize on Twitter, Elden Ring’s download size on the PS5 is going to be 44.472 GB- and this is without any day one patches. The database tracking Twitter page has generally been a reliable source of game size details in the past, and this also falls in line with Elden Ring’s Xbox Store page mentioning the file size on Xbox being approximately 50 GB. It remains to be seen how much storage space will be required on PS4 or Xbox One, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be too big of a requirement.

Elden Ring launches on February 25, and it seems pre-loads will go live on February 25, at least on PS5. The game will also be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
