Looks like Watch_Dogs all over again.

I tend to give Ubisoft a lot of grief, and rightfully so in my eyes, but sometimes they do something that grabs my attention. Like, somehow allowing a leak of the PC exclusive graphical features that will be appearing in Far Cry 4 for example.

So what kind of visual goodies can we expect from the next big iteration of the Far Cry series? Well given that Ubisoft and Nvidia are practically joined at the hip nowadays you can expect some Nvidia fancies like PCSS, which is a shadow tool for all intents and purposes. HBAO+ which is an improved version of already available Ambient Occlusion tools which, once again, gives better shadows. TXAA, the temporal anti aliasing to help get some nice smooth and sleek lines. Crepuscular rays…these aren’t a feature…I’m playing an indie game with these. Nvidia FUR which as you can no doubt guess, makes fur look all furry, fancy that.

And in case you missed it, there was also a tech leak for Assassin’s Creed Unity showing that the game will make use of Tessellation, which is a personal favourite of mine. Maximum depth, minimum performance hit.
