FIFA 22 Tops UK Charts for 5th Consecutive Week, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in 2nd Place

Mario Party Superstars debuted in third place with six percent lower sales than Super Mario Party. Ubisoft's Riders Republic debuted in eighth.

Even with two major new games for the week ending October 30th, 2021, EA’s FIFA 22 topped UK physical sales charts once more, as per Gfk. As GamesIndustry.biz notes, this is the title’s fifth consecutive week on top even with sales dropping by 11 percent week-on-week. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy debuted in second place with launch sales 58 percent lower than Marvel’s Avengers (with 63 percent sales on PS5).

Mario Party Superstars was the other big release, debuting in third place with sales being six percent lower than Super Mario Party. Then there’s Riders Republic debuting in eighth place with 52 percent of sales on PS5. Ubisoft’s other major new release for the season, Far Cry 6, fell to fourth place following a 23 percent drop in sales.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes went from a sixth place debut to 21st place after a 52 percent sales drop. Metroid Dread dropped to 15th place as sales fell by 34 percent but it’s already on its way to becoming the series’ sixth best-selling title of all time (Metroid: Other M currently occupies the spot).
