The Xbox 720 is something of a mystery by now, and reports are that it will be released next year before the holidays. However, it needs a solid launch title and what better launch title than Halo?

Microsoft had announced the new trilogy at E3 2011, and it seems that Halo 5 will be released on the next-gen Xbox from Microsoft.

343 Industries’ Frank O’Connor mentioned that the team is really excited for next gen technology in an interview with Seattle Times.

“We’ve done as much prototyping and storytelling and the future arc of the universe as we have on technology. So we’re definitely working on the future but in some ways it’s technologically agnostic at this point,” he said.

“We definitely have a lot of smart people inside the studio and outside the studio thinking about future technology and future development for sure.”

So there you go, most developers would avoid that question but not Frankie, cuz he is awesome. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Thanks, Examiner.
