Kingdom Under Fire II Invasion Mode Gameplay Brings The Goods

Invasion Mode gets highlighted.

Earlier today a video detailing the ‘Invasion Mode’ element of the upcoming release from Blueside and Phantagram’s Kingdom Under Fire II.

Kingdom Under Fire II will merge three classic game genres: Real Time Strategy (RTS), Role-Playing Game (RPG), and Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO).

In this trailer, we get a glimpse at the game’s Invasion Mode. Invasion Mode is a 16-player co-op mode in which players will assume the roles of warriors on a battlefield mid combat, and will participate in the battle with one another, utilizing team tactics and individual abilities. So far things look very Dynasty Warriors-esque.

The apparent crispness of graphics and detail of the health, ability gauge, and interchangeable ability system can’t be denied based on this video. It looks like we have a successful combination of all the attempted genres on our hands, and what looks like will be an incredibly fun game to play.

Kingdom Under Fire II will release on PC and the PlayStation 3.
