Mario Kart 8 Deluxe New Video Confirms The Game’s Graphics Across Wii U and Switch Versions

Minimal differences graphically.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the upcoming enhanced re-release of the Wii U game, is almost here- and ahead of its launch, the folks at Nintendo Life have gone ahead and released a brand new video, showcasing the graphical improvements that this version of the game has over the Wii U original.

We already know the non graphical enhancements are significant- we are talking about a new, fully fledged Battle Mode (probably the best the series has seen yet), new characters, new arenas and maps, the capability for dual item wielding, as well as all DLC and updates included on top of the free game. However, the graphical enhancements seem to be minimal. The game runs in 1080p on the Switch, which is an improvement over the Wii U’s 720p- and that leads to a sort of crisper image, with nicer effects. But that’s really it.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will launch on April 28 on Nintendo Switch exclusively. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
