Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Will Be 900p and 30FPS When Docked, 720p and 30FPS In Handheld Mode

That's the same as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The upcoming crossover that no one expected they would like the idea of or want, but one that everyone is now eagerly looking forward to nonetheless, Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, looks stunning. It’s actually a surprise how great Ubisoft has managed to get it to look, considering that it is on the Nintendo Switch.

Which is proof, really, that it is more about the art, and not the number of dots or lines on screen, when it comes to how great a game looks. You see, the game’s creative director, Davide Soliani, confirmed on Twitter that the game will run in 900p and 30FPS when you play it docked in console mode, and 720p and 30FPS when you play it in handheld mode- the latter being the highest resolution the Switch’s own screen will display.

That’s not bad at all- as an example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had the same resolution and framerate, and it looked fantastic. Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle launches on the Nintendo Switch exclusively come August 29.
