Metro Exodus Will Have Physics Based Rendering and Revamped Lighting

Cutting edge, as always.

Posted By | On 07th, Feb. 2018

Metro Exodus looks to be an exciting, next generation realization of the beloved cult classic atmospheric post apocalyptic first person shooter series; the game is due for a release later this year, and ahead of that launch, Game Informer is running a cover story on the game.

Thanks to that, we have some more details on what to expect from the title. The Metro series has always been known for its cutting edge graphics and tech, and Exodus, it seems, will be no different on that front. The game will apparently be using physics-based rendering, full facial capture for cinematics, an overhauled lighting system, simulate AI biomes, and more.

Metro Exodus is due to release later this year on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We already know that the game will also be targeting the cutting edge of visuals on console via PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements.
