I’m sure many of you heard of what the developers at Ubisoft tried to do in order to deter pirates from pirating their game. The good people at Ubisoft decided to integrate an always online DRM in Assassins Creed 2, which meant that you always had to be online to play the game, and if the internet connection disconnected  just for one second, well then, you are screwed. Granted that this was not the most effect way to get the job done, but it sort of worked. That is until a few hackers cracked the game in a week.
