New The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Trailer Is Terrifying

Warning: graphic content inside.

Do you know what The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is? It’s a stunningly good looking, highly terrifying first person science fiction horror game releasing for the PC. Built on Unreal Engine, the game uses some highly advanced techniques to construct a visual landscape that is just plain gorgeous.

As gorgeous as it may be, however, the game is not necessarily pleasing to the eye, especially not in the case of the trailer above. Full of scenes of graphic violence, the trailer is ramping up the intensity to demonstrate to players that while it might be a technological marvel, it still promises to deliver the kind of indelible experience that they have simply never experienced via video games before.

Announced last year, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is due for release exclusively on PCs running Windows later this year. For more on the game, make sure to check out our interview with the developer of the game.
