No Man’s Sky PC Will Have FOV Options

No man's nausea.

Why No Man's Sky

I’ve been playing No Man’s Sky on PS4 for about a day now, and there is one thing that has stuck out to me a bit- the first person game tends to make you a bit sick. The rapid movement speed, coupled with the narrow PoV, are a recipe for nausea for someone who is as sensitive to first person movement in games as I am (memorably enough, the excellent The Witness also made me sick when I played it earlier this year).

However, this should only be a problem for PS4 players- speaking on Reddit in an AMA, Hello Games’ Sean Murray confirmed that the PC version of No Man’s Sky, at least, will be getting options to adjust FoV soon, although he wasn’t clear about when the option might be added (or if it might just be available in the game at launch).

No Man’s Sky is available now on PS4, with the PC release of the game coming later this week.
