Only 50% of Kickstarters have been successfully funded – Infographic

Almost 50% Kickstarter projects have failed, according to a new report at Appsblogger. It’s even worse in the gaming category with 43% getting successfully funded. The hype surrounding Kickstart was elevated during Double Fine’s project and continues to be so till now.

There were a total of 17,000 gaming projects that have been started, but only 7,000 were successfully funded. Check out the neatly described infographic below that shows every little detail you need to know.

Kickstarter has been here since forever though, and didn’t start recently. It’s amazing how many people don’t know this fact, but hey, now they do. Film and Video category has raised the most money so far followed by music. Dance category has a 75% success rate.
