Paladins Producer Thinks Scorpio Looks Like Great Tech, No Plans For Nintendo Switch Yet

For now, it doesn't seem like they are willing to commit to it releasing on either of the new systems.

Hi Rez Studios’ Paladins will launch on PS4 and Xbox One soon- but with it finally crossing over on to consoles, a can of worms is opened. For instance, what are the studios’ plans to bring their popular free to play shooter to Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Scorpio? What about Nintendo’s Switch?

In an interview with DualShockers, Senior Producer Todd Harris sat down to discuss the prospects of the game supporting both of these systems. Harris sounded appreciative of the Scorpio, calling it ‘great technology’, but he did seem to be pretty hesitant to actually commit to it just yet. On the other hand, he did state outright that as of right now, there are no plans to bring the game to Nintendo’s Switch.

Paladins has often been likened to Overwatch; the free to play hero shooter is available on Steam, where it has been a great success. Presumably, its release on consoles will continue to expand its base, too.
