Pokemon X and Y Recives A Cinematic Launch Trailer

Finally, the time has come.

It’s finally here. For months now, Pokemon fans the world over have been drooling in anticipation of the latest Pokemon generation, Pokemon X and Y. Today the games will hit stores across the world, ushering in a new generation of young Pokemon trainers.

The above trailer looks awesome. Pokemon X and Y will be the first Pokemon games to be fully rendered in 3D, and it seems that Game Freak has spared no expense. Everything looks beautifully rendered, and it seems that we can look forward to a huge number of advancements and new features on top of all of the classic Pokemon fun.

Specifically, in the above video, we see a utilization of the Nintendo 3DS stylus in feeding your Pokemon, which, while in other games you could give Pokemon food, is an entirely new interactive element. Additionally we see one party Pokemon taking on five opposing Pokemon at once. In other games, the number of Pokemon the player had out in battle always matched those of the opponent, barring fainted Pokemon.

All in all, Pokemon X and Y look stupendous. Today should be a great day for Pokefans everywhere.
