A number of issues are being reported to do with the latest firmware update for the PS3.
Blank screens, disk read errors, locked out PSN accounts, yellow lights of death and stalled Playstation Store’s are all being posted over on the Playstation forums. Some users claim the system will not even turn on.
Sony has not responede yet, but we recommend you keep an eye on forums around the web for an update. GB will be reporting any new updates and any response from Sony as they emerge.
The latest update also controversially removed the option to use other Operating Systems, such as Linux, on the PS3.
