Posted By | On 18th, Apr. 2011

A new trailer demonstrates some of the technology behind Zipper Interactive’s upcoming shooter, SOCOM 4.

Lead designer Travis Steiner and game director Seth Luisi run us through the tech that underpins the new PlayStation 3 tactical shooter.

Herein you’ll find material on the game’s new cinematic engine which powers the story led single-player game, plus details on in-game combat systems like how enemy AI and tactics work.

There’s further info on the new Move support and the precise targeting developed with the Sharp Shooter controller and most intriguingly how Zipper helped pioneer a new type of 3D which maintains resolution and performance whilst in 3D mode.

Exciting stuff indeed. Check back soon for our full review of SOCOM 4.
