Sunset Overdrive

With a Metascore of 82, it appears that Insomniac’s latest game is a hit with the critics- Sunset Overdrive seems to be the long awaited return to form that we have been looking forward to. Critics seem to be generally enjoying Insomniac’s latest, which is a fusion of open world/zombie action/third person shooter, complete with their own brand of humor that is self aware and constantly evokes pop culture.

Joystiq gave it five stars out of five, gushing ‘the bottom line is that regardless of whether we’re talking about character appearance, weapons, special abilities or buffs, Sunset Overdrive piles the number of options you can choose from sky-high. No matter who you choose to be, what weapons you equip, what playstyle you choose, or how you deck out your secondary abilities, everything feels valid and worthwhile.’

Other outlets were also largely positive- Gamespot gave it an 8/10, Game Informer gave it 9.25/10, IGN gave it 9/10, and Eurogamer gave it 8/10.

Looks like the Xbox One just got another worthy exclusive to its name. The Wii U has been scoring great ones all year too. Step your game up, PS4.
