Set in a sprawling underwater vessel called the Maw, the puzzle-platformer focuses on Six as she struggles to survive and escape.

Bandai Namco’s horror puzzle-platformer Little Nightmares will be released for iOS and Android this Winter. Check out the latest trailer below, which sees protagonist Six traversing the Maw and experiencing its various “quirks” first-hand.

Developed by Playdigious and Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares was first released in 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch before coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018 and Stadia in 2020. It focuses on Six, a mysterious girl who seeks to escape the underwater vessel known as the Maw. Along with friendly creatures called Nomes, she’ll encounter towering monstrosities like the Janitor, Twin Chefs, and much more.

How the game’s controls are optimized for mobile devices remains to be detailed, so stay tuned for further updates. You can also check out our review for the base game here. A sequel, Little Nightmares 2, is also available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.

There's a lot of Pokemon.

There’s less than 24 hours to go before New Pokemon Snap is released into the wild. To mark the occasion, Nintendo has released one final trailer before the game launches, and it’s a doozy. Clocking in at over five minutes long, the trailer takes prospective players on a virtual tour of the islands that make up the Lental Region and some of the environments players will travel through.

The trailer goes into detail about Pokemon behavior, the way Pokemon act at night, and Pokemon instincts and shows off a wide variety of the Pokemon players will see during the game, as well as the kind of behavior that they’ll want to capture to take the best pictures. Like its predecessor, New Pokemon Snap an on-rails game, giving you limited time to photograph each Pokemon. There are also branching paths to discover and items that can change Pokemon behavior, so learning the environments will be crucial to getting the best shots.

New Pokemon Snap looks like a fairly simple game, but there’s clearly a lot to find if you really want to. The game releases April 30th on Nintendo Switch.

It's close to overtaking Mario Kart 8: Deluxe as the Switch's best-selling first party title.

Along with providing updated Switch hardware numbers, Nintendo also revealed updated sales figures for its best-selling first-party titles on the platform. To no one’s surprise, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe continues to dominate with 28.99 million units sold till date. But it’s crazy that Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which launched in March this year, has sold 26.04 million units.

With Nintendo pushing out regular updates for the title – and more to come as Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner – it likely won’t be long before it overtakes Mario Kart 8: Deluxe. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold 21.10 million units while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 19.74 million units, inching ever closer to that 20 million mark.

Pokemon Sword and Shield, which will be celebrating their first anniversary this month, have also done very well with 19.02 million units sold. Check out the top 10 best-selling first-party Switch titles (as of September 30th) below. Stay tuned for more updated sales numbers from Nintendo in the meantime.

The update will go live on November 25th, one day before season 2 starts.

Bandai Namco’s second season for Soulcalibur 6 will begin on November 26th but before that is a meaty update for all players. Update 2.00 will launch on November 25th and introduces several new mechanics to the game. We already know about the expanded roster of moves but what else can be expected?

Two new stages – Silver Wolves’ Haven and Grand Labyrinth – Sealed Corridor – are coming for all players. Some new systems will also be in place for combat. The first is Soul Attack, described as a “strengthened strike” which can help turn the tables. The second is Resist Impact, an interesting defensive move which is capable of “repelling any attack.” Yes, even the unblockable attacks, which should probably be known as sometimes-blockable attacks now.

Other changes include slight damage received after a successful grapple break and Reversal Edge not longer shifting to a clash if an opponent blocks the strike. Check out the full patch notes here and the battle adjustments in detail here. Soulcalibur 6 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC – check out our review for the game here.

Additional Stages (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)

The following stages will be available for everyone after installing this update:

Silver Wolves’ Haven

Grand Labyrinth – Sealed Corridor (only available in Training mode).

Battle Adjustments (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC)

Brand new moves will be added to each character.

New Battle System “Soul Attack” will be added to the game – A strengthened strike that can turn the tide of a battle.

New Battle System “Resist Impact” will be added to the game – The ultimate defense move capable of repelling any attack including the currently unblockable ones.

With this update, Reversal Edge will not shift to Reversal Edge clash when opponent guards the attack.

With this update, a character will receive slight damage even when a grapple break is successful (a character will not get knocked out by this damage).

We will also make some modifications on gameplay and balance adjustments.

We will add an explanation regarding the new battle system to Tutorial Battle in Mission: Libra of Soul. (Players can learn about the battle systems in “Drona’s Dojo” in Mission: Libra of Soul.)

We will add an explanation regarding the new battle system to Combat Lessons in Museum.

Due to the addition of new moves and the balance adjustment, we will update the content of Fighting Style Lessons in Museum.

The first DLC for Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, The Lair of the Lost Lord, has a release date. You can venture into the labyrinth and confront all kinds of evil on December 13th for PS4 and PC. The latest trailer highlights some of the hazards you’ll face in the labyrinth, including foes that are over Level 110.

There’s plenty more to look forward to though. There are new fighting styles and techniques to master (like Gizmo Supreme and Ding Dong Discipline). Over 80 new items, including some snazzy new weapons, can be collected. You can also expect a bevy of new quests, including tales from your party members’ pasts.

What lurks inside of the labyrinth though? How will it augment the already meaty endgame? We’ll find out when the DLC launches next week, but in the meantime, you can check out GamingBolt’s review of the base game here for more information.

Arc System Works’ Dragon Ball FighterZ continues to receive free updates. For November, Bandai Namco showcased two updates that are currently live – the FighterZ Tournament and Z Trophy Room. A third free update will be arriving on December 5th, but in the meantime, check out the trailer below to see some of the new content in action.

The FighterZ Tournament is, as the name indicates, a tournament. It’s online though, and features numerous different rules for matches, leading up to an eight player bracket in the finals. Both winners and runners-up will receive different rewards and Z Trophies to display in the Z Trophy Room. Speaking of which, the Z Trophy Room brings a unique showcase room for each player.

It allows them to display their Z Trophies and Lobby Avatars. You can thus invite players to check out your trophies, or even visit other players’ Trophy Rooms to see their conquests. As for the December 5th update, it will features numerous festive avatars, including Santa Claus-themed versions of Vegeta, Trunks, Tien, and Android 18. There will also be a new Christmas colour set that can be used for all characters, decking them out in red, green, and gold.

Despite making headlines for launch week physical sales being down by 59 percent in the UK, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was still the number 1 selling game in its second week on sale in the region, according to Gfk Chart-Track. In fact, as GamesIndustry.biz notes, overall sales dropped by just 39 percent in the second week, which is a good sign.

FIFA 19 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey retained their spots in second and third place respectively. Spider-Man on the PS4 actually saw a bump up from sixth to fourth place. Forza Horizon 4 remained at fifth place. Two new entries this week for the top 10 include LEGO DC Super-Villains at sixth place and Soulcalibur 6 at eighth place.

Super Mario Party was in seventh, while Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Shadow of the Tomb Raider rounded out the chart at ninth and tenth respectively. Starlink: Battle for Atlas also debuted, but at 14th place. It appears that Nintendo’s Star Fox cameo made a strong impact though – a whopping 82 percent of launch sales were for the Switch version.

FromSoftware’s Dark Souls Remastered has finally hit the Switch following some delays. Handled by Virtuos, the Switch port marks the first time that a mainline Dark Souls title has come to a portable-ish platform. Check out the launch trailer below and marvel at the quality of visuals.

Originally released back in 2011, Dark Souls Remastered is an updated version of the game with improved visuals. Sadly, the Switch version doesn’t benefit from 4K resolution support or 60 FPS like the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions. At least dedicated servers, password-protected matchmaking and the increased player count have made the leap.

Dark Souls Remastered includes the base game and the Artorias of the Abyss expansion. If you’ve never played a Souls-like game in your life, then it might be worth checking it out. Read our official review here to see if this is the remaster’s PS4 version was worthy of the original’s legacy.

The fiery antagonist of previous games returns with quick, devastating attacks.

The cast of Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur 6 is only getting bigger, roughly two weeks away from its release. In a new character trailer, the development team at Project Soul unveiled Inferno. You might recognize him as a major antagonist in the early Soulcalibur games and the controlling force behind Nightmare. Check out his new look below.

Inferno is essentially the “embodiment” of Soul Edge’s will (the same blade that characters like Siegfried, Cervantes, and Kilik have run afoul of). His main shtick is adopting various styles to battle with. So in one round, he could be using Xianghua’s techniques, before switching to Astaroth’s devastating strength in the next round.

There isn’t much of that in the new trailer, but Inferno is still capable of darting about quickly and dealing massive damage. Bandai Namco is promising this to be the strongest and most brutal version of the burning man yet. We’ll find out for ourselves when Soulcalibur 6 launches on October 19th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

All three Dark Souls games with their DLC will be heading to Xbox One and PS4.

Out of nowhere, Bandai Namco Games has announced that Dark Souls Trilogy will be coming to the Xbox One and PS4 on October 19th. Yes, you read that right. The definitive versions of all three Dark Souls titles – namely Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, and Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition – will be available in a three-disc package. All DLC will be included as well.

This year saw Dark Souls Remastered make its way to Xbox One, PS4, and PC, containing a graphically enhanced version of the first game with its DLC. It will also launch on October 19th for the Nintendo Switch. So while it may be particularly annoying for anyone who already owns the remaster, Dark Souls Trilogy still represents incredible value for first-time players. It was originally released in Japan exclusively for PS4, so it’s good to see it coming West as well.

Will it arrive on PC though? That’s the real question, and hopefully, Bandai Namco will have more information on that soon. If you want something new out of From Software, then Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be coming in March 2019.
