Ubisoft’s open world racer, The Crew 2, has a new update, dubbed the April Vehicle Drop, which is out for everyone now (the content has been available to season pass owners since April 3rd).

The update, true to its name, adds two new vehicles in the the Porsche Cayman GT4 2016, a fancy new car to spin your wheels with, and the Suzuki GSX-R 1000R 2018, one of the most powerful and fastest motorcycles on the planet to drift like a madman in your races. Both vehicles are specialists in street races, so if that’s the discipline you prefer, you’re definitely in luck.

Ubisoft also recently released a trailer that went over everything of note being added with the April Vehicle Drop, so take a look below if you’re interested. The Crew 2 is available now for PlayStation, Xbox One and PC, and lets you play as a solo or with friends on your way to becoming a motorsport champion.

Bungie is bringing sweeping changes to the Crucible in terms of time to kill and abilities.

Bungie recently held a live-stream for major weapon changes that would be coming around the launch of Destiny 2’s Forsaken DLC. Some of these changes have already been discussed (random rolls, new Supers, time to kill changes, etc.) but the developer highlighted some specifics during its stream.

First off, many of the base Supers are receiving buffs. Nightstalker’s Shadowshot will now tether enemies faster and more reliably. Gunslinger’s Golden Gun will last two seconds longer. Stormcaller’s Stormtrance will also have higher damage, so you no longer have to worry that you’re tickling foes to death.

Some of the more requested changes include Ward of Dawn having increased health and increased melee damage for the user and allies within it; Shoulder Charge returning to one-hit kill status; buffs to grenade damage and Throwing Knife; and buffs to Healing Rift to balance the shorter time to kill. Empowering Rift, meanwhile, will also receive a buff to offer more precision damage in PvP.

Those keen on grinding need not worry. The Masterwork system is being changed to allow for 10 levels of upgrades with a 10 percent bonus (up from 5 percent) to stats like stability, range, etc. Masterwork weapons will even reveal kill counters at level but there’s quite the grind involved. Numerous Masterwork Cores, materials and Glimmer will be required to fully upgrade one weapon.

There’s a lot more to get into, but for now, these changes seem to at least offer Crucible gameplay that’s more in line with the first Destiny. Destiny 2: Forsaken is out on September 4th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However, the upcoming sandbox changes will be available for free for everyone.

Ubisoft is teasing a team-up with Operators; full reveal coming on July 23rd.

Say what you will about Ghost Recon: Wildlands, whether it’s criticism for the open world or repetitive missions, but Ubisoft has been supporting it with some pretty great content since its launch. After Special Operation 1 reunited us with Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher, Special Operation 2 will go even further by crossing over with Rainbow Six: Siege. Check out “The Badge” trailer for a teaser of the crossover.

The nature of the crossover is unknown, but like the Splinter Cell mission, it will likely include special Rainbow Six: Siege-themed gear that can be earned. Players will also likely team up with Operators from the multiplayer shooter. It may not be as hyped as Michael Ironside returning to voice Sam Fisher, but we’re still excited. Look out for the full reveal on July 23rd.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ next major update will be out on July 24th. Along with Special Operation 2, it includes new PvP content for Ghost War, the ability to play solo without AI teammates, and the new Ghost Mode. Ghost Mode will up the stealth ante much more, providing players with only one primary weapon and enabling friendly fire.

The eagerly awaited and final expansion pack brings new bosses and a "whole new mode".

Steel your Nails – Hollow Knight’s third and final DLC Gods and Glory will be releasing on August 23rd for Nintendo Switch and PC. Like the previous two content packs, Hidden Dreams and The Grimm Troupe, it will be completely free. Check out the latest trailer below.

Promising new bosses, new NPCs and new secrets, Gods and Glory will also bring a “whole new mode” to the table. Could this be New Game Plus, thus allowing players to tackle tougher bosses and keep their progression rolling? We’re not sure at this point, but it would certainly add a lot more replay value on top of the already stellar base game.

Hollow Knight released in February 2017 for PC, and arrived on Nintendo Switch in June 2018. It is performing exceedingly well on the Switch, having already sold a whopping 250,000 copies on the console, while also notching up an impressive 1 million units sold on PC. Considering the game’s Kickstarter obtained AU$ 57,138 out of a proposed AU$ 35,000 goal, it’s good to see the developer’s hard work being rewarded.

If you haven’t played Hollow Knight, then we’d suggest you do so quickly- check out GamingBolt’s official review of the Switch version if you need to be convinced.

The Firefly and Castle actor also believes that the Hunter Vanguard isn't dead.

When Cayde-6 was shown to be dying in the recent story trailer for Destiny 2: Forsaken, many fans were upset. “Upset” is an understatement, actually, as fans literally held a memorial site outside the LA Convention Center at E3 2018 to mourn his death. Much of the character’s appeal is thanks to voice actor Nathan Fillion, who really flexed his talents in Destiny: The Taken King when Cayde-6 became a central NPC.

However, as much as fans have been mourning Cayde’s death, it turns out he’s not even voiced by Nathan Fillion this time around. In a recent episode of Kotaku Splitscreen, Fillion – whose recent fan-made short film for Uncharted has been making rumblings on the internet – revealed that he didn’t play Cayde-6 in the E3 2018 trailer. Furthermore, he hasn’t voiced the character at all in Forsaken. Instead, Nolan North (who voices the Ghost) has stepped up to play the role.

Fillion does believe that Cayde isn’t really dead, joining the legions of other fans who feel the same way. Regardless, has all this mourning been for nought? Should fans really mourn a character who isn’t even voiced in the next DLC by the main reason for his personality? It’s an interesting paradox, but you have to wonder if Fillion will ever return to the franchise at some point.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is out on September 4th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Confront the threat of Rymrgand and stop a deadly frost from destroying Eora.

Obsidian Entertainment has been releasing free DLC packs for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, their fairly awesome role-playing game that released in May. August 2nd marks the release of its first paid expansion, Beast of Winter. The DLC will see players traveling to an island and dealing with Rymrgand’s followers.

Considering the followers celebrate how much of the world has been destroyed thanks to the Watcher, it will be interesting to see how things progress. Rymrgand is the titular “Beast of Winter” and his arrival will threaten all of Eora. There is a point where you must confront him.

Speaking to PC Games N, Beast of Winter narrative designer Alex Scokel also noted that there will be some dark humour pervading the expansion. “We obviously don’t want to make an incredibly depressing piece of DLC,” he said. “It’s definitely an opportunity for us to show how people feel about this sort of thing, but also show the humour of it.”

Beast of Winter will cost $10 standalone and is also included with the $25 Season Pass. Two more expansions – Seeker, Slayer, Survivor and The Forgotten Sanctum – are also included and will be releasing in September 2018 and November 2018 respectively. These release dates are subject to change though – Beast of Winter, for instance, was slated to release in July before being delayed to August 2nd.

In a recent livestream, Square Enix announced that its crossover fighting game Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will see Final Fantasy 8’s lovable Rinoa Heartilly joining the cast. She’s the third DLC character, included with the Season Pass, and will arrive in August.

A new trailer showcases Rinoa’s move set and outfits. Along with using Angelo, her signature dog, Rinoa can also utilize Angel Wing, a Limit Break which grants her wings, to be able to fly around. In terms of alternate outfits, there are different colour schemes for her base outfit and a formal dress, best seen in the famous ballroom dance scene in Final Fantasy 8.

Overall, Rinoa has a very spell-focused playstyle that favours fighting at range. Used in combination with characters like Squall Leonheart, Rinoa’s love interest from Final Fantasy 8, it’s possible to strongly pressure enemy teams.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is currently available exclusively for PlayStation 4. Other DLC characters that have joined the cast since its release include Locke Cole from Final Fantasy 6 and Vayne Carudas Solidor from Final Fantasy 12. For more information on the game, check out GamingBolt’s review here.

In case you thought about retiring from your knightly duties in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios has released the first premium DLC for the game, called From The Ashes. Retailing for $9.99, it’s available now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The developer also released a short trailer showcasing the DLC’s introduction. Check it out below and see if it’s worth picking up.

From The Ashes presents a rather interesting scenario, as players help a village that’s being built on the remains of a burned bandit camp. As the bailiff, players will manage the village, including its finances, and mediate disputes between its occupants. There are buildings to upgrade and unique items to earn. You can even bring on special NPCs or improve production with the help of base game characters.

Other activities include visiting the tavern for a pint, partaking in some dice and riding out with the new horses. More DLC will be out this year, including The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon and Band of Bastards. A fourth premium DLC, A Woman’s Lot, will release in early 2019. Other upcoming features include combat tournaments and modding supporting.

Through its ups and downs, Destiny 2 has a number of difficult things that fans need to admit.

Whether you love Bungie’s Destiny 2 or mildly appreciate it, there’s no denying the game has problems. In fact, some problems are seemingly invisible to the most diehard fans. So let’s take a look at 15 things nobody wants to admit about Destiny 2.

Note: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views of, and should not be attributed to, GamingBolt as an organization.

Raid Difficulty is Pointless Without Great Rewards

When Spire of Stars, Warmind’s raid lair went live, the difficulty was grueling. While this could be attributed to players not being the right Power level (progression of which was nerfed by Bungie), the raid lair itself has numerous fail states. As such without a regular group, even LFGing the activity can be trying process. Of course, none of this matters because many of the items across the raid and raid lairs are ultimately pointless. The armour is mostly cosmetic and aside from Sins of the Past and Midnight Coup (both obtainable in the base raid), there’s nothing worth the headache.

Donkey Kong has arrived in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, courtesy of DLC. Donkey Kong Adventure is now available for Nintendo Switch users and features a brand new story and areas focused primarily on Donkey Kong. Well, mostly – he has some help in the form of Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Cranky. We challenge you to find a stranger trio in gaming.

Promising 10 hours of new gameplay, Donkey Kong Adventure adds new enemies and gameplay mechanics to further mix up the action. Donkey Kong has some interesting moves like bongo drums to use against foes as he eventually comes face to face with the imposing Rabbid Kong.

Retailing for $15, Donkey Kong Adventure can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop now. Mario + Rabbids players who own the Season Pass will receive it for free along with all previously released DLC.
