"This is a game about a team of operators who come from all over, and it's not a personal fantasy game," said the narrative director.
Greg Foertsch said that the industry tends to be quite derivative, but Respawn and Lucasfilm decided to take a major risk.
The game's rumoured title is indicated by a host of domains recently bought by Lucasfilm featuring the potential full name.
"What I came to learn is for them, Jedi is the Holy Grail," says director Stig Asmussen.
