This is one special agent you don't want to mess with, but if you do, her moves are going to need some masterful defense on your part.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves just dropped a new character trailer for Blue Mary, a femme fatale whose law enforcement background gives her quite an impressive moveset in the arena.

Blue Mary comes at you with a whirlwind of attacks, getting up close and personal to dish out a constant barrage of attacks that include grabs, slams, mix-up combos, and some devastating aerial combos to make her a nightmare to those among you who don’t put too much emphasis on defensive play. She’s brought to life by Allegra Clark, who you might remember as the voice of Josephine from Dragon Age: Inquisition, or as Maki Zen’in from Jujitsu Kaisen.

Blue Mary is the latest addition to the game’s DLC roster as part of the Season 2 Pass, following Nightmare Geese’s explosive debut last month. With three more characters and a whole lot more slated for the game in the next few months, now’s a good time as any to join in on a fighting game that had us pretty happy with its visuals, although there was room for improvement. There’s also a new collab track to check out once Blue Mary drops on March 26, 2026. Give it a lesson in the trailer below.

While Rock and Peecha get some brand new threads alongside more collab content, Nightmare Geese arrives in grand fashion.

We just got treated to a couple of exciting, new, and action-packed trailers for new additions to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and we’re itching to brush up on our skills and give it a shot when it launches on February 26th.

Let’s start with Nightmare Geese, a legend who may not be among the living, but doesn’t let that stop him from doling out punches, kicks, and energy beams that show off his immense strength and implacable presence on the battlefield. His truly impressive debut marks the second addition to a list of DLC characters being added to the game, with four more yet to come every month until June 2026 as a part of the game’s Season Pass 2.

Additionally, the collaboration with Street Fighter continues to bear fruit. There are new costumes for Rock and Preecha to up their style game alongside a new EOST mission in which the game’s characters must team up with some of Street Fighter’s best to rescue Terry from the villainous JP. The job’s made easier by the addition of new crossover skills, while Kage Terry is going to be a new boss fight. It’s a shame he isn’t playable, though.

Stay tuned for more details on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in the coming months and check out our review for the base game here.

The Monster Hunter series has sold 94 million units, while the Mega Man franchise tops 40 million sales, and Devil May Cry hits 29 million.

Capcom has shared its Q1 financial report for the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2024, and provided updated sales numbers for its biggest franchises. On top is the Resident Evil series, with 146 million units sold in its lifetime, up from 142 million as of March 31st, 2023.

The Monster Hunter series is next, with 94 million sales in its lifetime. It’s followed by Street Fighter, which has sold 52 million units, up from 50 million. The recently released Street Fighter 6 doubtless contributed to this goal, having sold over two million units since launching in June.

The Mega Man series is at 40 million units sold (with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection selling over one million since launch), and the Devil May Cry franchise has sold 29 million. Dragon’s Dogma is in last with 7.7 million units sold, but that should improve with Dragon’s Dogma 2 coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

Capcom is working with Legendary Entertainment on a new live-action movie adaptation of Street Fighter.

A new live-action Street Fighter movie is under development. According to IGN, rights for a new movie based on the fighting game franchise have been acquired by Legendary Entertainment. The movie company will be working with Capcom for the live-action movie, and even potential TV adaptations.

There has been no details revealed about the movie yet, including the title, or even which of Street Fighter‘s diverse cast of characters will be the focus of the movie.

The movie adaptation is likely being made in anticipation of success for the upcoming Street Fighter 6, which is slated to bring a host of new features to the franchise, including a single-player World Tour mode that allows players to make their own characters and travel the world fighting against, and alongside various Street Fighter 6 characters.

More recently, Capcom released a new developer match video featuring Cammy and newcomer Manon. The video showed off the grappling prowess of both characters, with Cammy proving to be better at quick grapples, and Manon being more adept at countering attacks into grapples.

Street Fighter 6 is coming to PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on June 2. The game will feature a roster of 18 playable characters at launch, and more will undoubtedly be released down the line as post-launch content.

The series has crossed 88 million units sold in its lifetime. Resident Evil is currently at 131 million lifetime sales for the franchise.

Capcom has released its Q2 fiscal year 2022 financial results, providing updates on sales numbers for various titles as of September 30th, 2022. It confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, available since June 30th for PC and Nintendo Switch, is at 4.4 million units sold worldwide.

Sales totals for releases like Resident Evil 2 and Monster Hunter Rise, which crossed 10 million and 11 million units sold, respectively, are still roughly the same. The Resident Evil series is currently at 131 million units sold in its lifetime while Monster Hunter is at 88 million lifetime sales.

Devil May Cry is at 27 million sales, with Devil May Cry 5 recently confirmed to have sold over six million units. Street Fighter has sold 49 million units in its lifetime, while the Mega Man series is at 38 million.

Based on the first half of the fiscal year, Capcom is revising its full-year guidance to 40 million unit sales. It only lists Resident Evil 4 remake as an upcoming title, releasing on March 24th, 2023. This seemingly indicates that other big games, like Exoprimal and Street Fighter 6, won’t release before it. Time will tell, so stay tuned for further updates.

The latest title in Capcom's flagship fighting game series has finally been announced with more news promised for Summer 2022.

Capcom’s most recent countdown has concluded and as the rumors indicated, it announced that Street Fighter 6 was in development. The teaser trailer below features Ryu, a series’ mainstay, along with Luke, who was recently added in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition with its Season 5 Character Pass. Check it out below.

The trailer’s footage represents “a game still in development” so make of it what you will. More details will be coming this Summer though so stay tuned. Rumors over the past few years have indicated the sequel to be in development. It was originally meant to release in 2021 but development troubles (which led to the departure of series producer Yoshinori Ono) resulted in a delay.

No release window or platforms have been announced. However, rumors peg the game as being development for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC (as opposed to Street Fighter 5 which was exclusive to PS4 and PC). Stay tuned for more details this Summer.

The highly anticipated sequel, which has been rumored since 2020, is expected to be revealed once the Capcom Countdown is done.

Capcom recently launched a new site which is counting down to something on February 20th. While there are certainly a number of possibilities, the countdown’s proximity to the Capcom Pro Tour, which ends on the same day, indicated a Street Fighter-related announcement.

Now according to Jeff Grubb on the latest episode of Grubbsnax (via Idle Sloth on Twitter since only GiantBomb Premium members can access the show), fans can expect Street Fighter 6 to be announced on Monday. It’s not exactly out of left field either – the sequel was expected to launch in 2021 but development troubles resulted in a delay and director Yoshinori Ono being taken off the project. Ono would subsequently leave the company later.

Street Fighter 6 is currently rumored to be in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC. It could release later this year or even in early 2023, depending on the current state of development. Luke, the final DLC character for Street Fighter 5, is touted to be an “important character” for the future. As always, stay tuned for more details in the coming days.

Capcom's legendary fighting series is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2022. Rumours have indicated that Street Fighter 6 could be announced this year.

The original Street Fighter released for arcades back in 1987, which means 2022 is the year that Capcom’s beloved fighting series will be celebrating its 35th anniversary. Proper celebrations for the occasion are yet to fully kick into gear, but Capcom has begun preparations- the official logo for the series’ 35th anniversary has been shared on Twitter. Check it out below.

It’s been a while since the launch of the last mainline game in the series, but that could soon be changing. Capcom said in November of 2021 that it’d be sharing more details on the series’ future in 2022, and with Street Fighter celebrating a milestone anniversary, now seems like a great time to announce the next game in the series.

Rumours have indicated that Street Fighter 6 is in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox as a cross-gen game. It was allegedly due out in 2021, but got delayed due to development troubles. Yoshinori Ono, executive producer of the Street Fighter series, announced his departure from Capcom midway through 2020, before being appointed as the president and COO of Delightworks in April of last year.

Additionally, the Japanese company also discusses the upcoming anniversaries of Mega Man and Street Fighter.

In a New Year Greeting 2022 post on Famitsu, Capcom recently talked about the upcoming DLC for Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village.

As per the translations done by Siliconera, Capcom talked about the expansion pack of Monster Hunter Rise, called Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, launching in Summer 2022. Sunbreak is still under development, and plans on adding new and old monsters from the series. The company once again confirmed the release date of Monster Hunter Rise for PC via Steam to be January 12, just a few days from now. Previously, Capcom confirmed that more details on Sunbreak will be revealed in Spring 2022.

For Resident Evil, Capcom mentioned that they want to provide the titles in the series in multiple ways for more players to enjoy the games. There was no mentioning of platforms, but it might be that the company is planning on remastering or remaking more titles in near future (a Resident Evil 4 remake has been heavily rumoured for a while). As for Resident Evil Village, the game will be getting DLC in 2022, though no additional details were mentioned about the same. Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil Village will be getting DLC back last year.

Capcom also mentioned that 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter and Mega Man series, though did not mention any special events or releases planned for the same. That said, rumours and leaks have strongly suggested that Street Fighter 6 will launch in 2022.

For now, Capcom is gearing up to release of Monster Hunter Rise for PC via Steam, which is dropping on January 12. The game is currently available to play on Nintendo Switch, while Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will release sometime in Summer 2022 for both platforms.
