The VR title involves piloting space probes, gathering resources and surviving.

Remember that vague sci-fi space title that was featured in Watch Dogs 2? Ubisoft didn’t really confirm whether this was the same game but it announced AGOS: A Game of Space all the same. It’s a VR title that leverages physics-based gameplay for space exploration and resource gathering. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Players will create space probes and pilot them through a variety of different systems. Scavenging resources and researching new technologies to unlock new tools will be tantamount to success. It’s not all that peaceful though as there are some “perils” in space to deal with.

AGOS: A Game of Space is out on October 28th. It will be available on Steam, Uplay and Oculus. Time will tell if it eventually comes to the PS4 and supports PlayStation VR. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime. Currently, the pre-show for Ubisoft Forward is ongoing with the main show slated to start at 12 PM PDT.

Ubisoft are leaking their own stuff now.

It’s impossible in today’s day and age for Ubisoft to make a major announcement without it getting leaked, and it’s not surprising at all that that’s happened with another one of their surprise announcements. Talk of a Prince of Persia remake began with a retailer listing about three weeks back, which was followed by more reports that the game would be announced at the Ubisoft Forward event later today. Now, we have more leaks pointing to the game’s existence… coming from Ubisoft itself.

Advertising banners and images of a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time have appeared on Ubisoft’s own Uplay, more specifically the Russian Uplay page, as spotted by a Resetera user. Meanwhile, a listing for the game also recently appeared on Amazon UK. Both these things have since been taken down, but the internet never forgets- you can look at their screencaps below.

Release date and platform information for the game will likely be revealed later today, but an industry insider has said that the November launch, as well as the fact that it would come to the Switch, that was mentioned in the game’s first retailer leak aren’t accurate details.

The Ubisoft Forward event will begin at 12 AM PDT, with the pre-show kicking off at 11 AM PDT. Stay tuned for all updates from the show.

There’s many things you can say about Ubisoft, especially nowadays with so many issues coming to light from the company, but one thing you can’t say is that they abandon their titles. Right now The Division 2 is still ongoing, with major updates still coming on a regular basis. The sequel has largely been an upgrade to the original, it seems, but what about if you happened to miss the original or just want to go back? Well, until Monday, you can pick it up for free.

For those playing on PC, you can claim a free copy of the game until the beginning of next week. You’ll have to go through Ubisoft’s uPlay storefront/launcher. You can register to get your copy through here.

Both The Division and The Division 2 are available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Your free copy of the original game will be able to be claimed up to September 7th.

Roughly one year ago, Ubisoft unveiled and released their subscription service, Uplay Plus. It launched with some fairly big issues, but it seems those have largely been fixed as of now. We haven’t heard a lot about the service since the original launch, but now you can get a chance to try it out for free.

Ubisoft has announced that starting today, you can use the service as a free trial for a large part of the month. After that, it will continue to be the regular price of $14.99 USD. As it stands now the service is only on the PC and you will need to use it through Ubisoft’s Uplay launcher. The service reportedly has access to over 100 games, including the top editions of their biggest titles like Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry. You can check out the details here.

You can use Uplay Plus for free until July 27th. This weekend, you can also check out Ubisoft’s Forward event for a look at their upcoming titles, which you can read more about through here.

Ubisoft has given away a number of free games over the past few weeks in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s repeating that same initiative but this time with all of those games – and more – free to claim on PC via Uplay. Head over to the link here and you can claim titles like Assassin’s Creed 2, Rayman Legends and Child of Light for free.

Other titles include Might and Magic Chess Royale and Rabbids Coding! These can all be claimed by May 5th so act now. Free trials for games like Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Trials Rising, The Crew 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands and The Division 1 and 2 are also available to play.

Ubisoft has plenty else going on recently with the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Gameplay for the open world title, set in the Dark Ages and focusing on Vikings, will debut on May 7th at Inside Xbox. The game itself will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, PC and Google Stadia this holiday season. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

In 2019, with the launch of The Division 2, Ubisoft pledged their support for the Epic Games Store, and since then, every game they have put out has launched exclusively for Epic’s storefront as well as their own Uplay, skipping Steam in the process. That will continue with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla later this year (via GameSpot). This doesn’t really come as a surprise, given how vocally supportive of the Epic Games Store Ubisoft have been for a while.

Ubisoft finally unveiled Assassin’s Creed Valhalla a couple days ago after a years of leaks, which was followed by a CG reveal trailer yesterday. Next week at Microsoft’s digital Xbox Series X event, Ubisoft will be premiering gameplay from the upcoming open world RPG for the first time ever. In the meantime, you can check out new gameplay details through here, or check out stunning screenshots through here.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is clearly a massive undertaking for Ubisoft. 14 additional studios have lent their support during development to lead developers Ubisoft Montreal, and the game has been in the works for the last two and a half years.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out this Holiday for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Stadia. On the Xbox Series X, the game will run at 4K, and also support Smart Delivery.

Revisit a classic during these trying times.

It’s been a tough time for a lot of people as isolation and social distancing practices are either being required or heavily-suggested. Many are temporarily out of work as well. As such, many people are turning to their backlogs of entertainment to try and get some degree of peace of mind (and sanity) while being stuck indoors. Some companies are helping you out with free games, and one is Ubisoft, who is offering up an old classic.

Assassin’s Creed 2, the acclaimed sequel to the long running adventure series, will be free on Ubisoft’s uPlay launcher on PC. While the announcement below is in Chinese, it has been confirmed to be global. The game follows Ezio as he finds himself sucked into the ongoing battle between Assassins and Templars. If you’re never played it, you’re in for a treat, and if you have, it may be time to revisit one of the best Assassin’s Creed titles.

Assassin’s Creed 2 will be free via uPlay starting tomorrow, and its sequel titles, Brotherhood and Revelations, will also see discounts on the platform.

Alain Corre thinks the service can help interaction with players and Ubisoft.

Love it or hate it, the future of the industry is going to have a lot of subscription services. How many will ultimately survive is anyone’s guess, but one taking a crack at it is Ubisoft with their Uplay Plus. With all these services also comes the companies trying to justify why you should pay for theirs, and Ubisoft Executive Director of EMEA Alain Corre has an interesting pitch to players: a new level of interconnection.

Speaking with GamesIndustry, Corre said that he sees Uplay Plus as a way for players to be more directly connected to developers. While it’s not clearly exactly what he means specifically, it does seem to imply that he thinks this will give players a more direct feedback loop between themselves and developers.

“The reason behind our subscription service… it gives more possibilities for our fans to play our games and we can talk to them,” said Corre. “We can keep them in our worlds, we can discuss with them and—thanks to what they say and the way they behave—we can feed that back into our games development. When we are in control of that within our ecosystem, we feel it’s beneficial for our fans. That’s ultimately what we want to do; we want to have more contact with them, more interaction, listening more to what they want and improve based on what they say.”

It’s often something that goes unspoken, but most of these services from major companies is a way to keep people as integrated into their ecosystem as much as possible, but it’s a first for that being acknowledged openly as a way for people to create a feedback loop into the product. It’ll be interesting to see what Ubisoft plans in that regard when the service releases on PC on September 3rd. You can check out the full list of games it will launch with here.

Get access to Ubisoft's sizable catalog this September.

At this year’s E3 we got the announcement that Ubisoft was jumping onto the subscription train with their Uplay Plus service that’s slated to launch this September. Today we got a full list of all titles that you’ll have access to with Uplay Plus- strap in, because it’s a big one.

The service promises several games either at launch or soon after, including upcoming games next year like Gods and Monsters and Watch Dogs Legion. It is inflated a bit by the multiple Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry games, but it’s impressive all the same.

It is worth noting however that in the full list, which we will provide below, they do clarify that some premium editions (such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Ultimate Edition, for instance) may not have all premium DLC content, as indicated by the asterisk beside the titles. What that means isn’t clear, so we’ll have to see what is and isn’t restricted when the service officially launches.

You can currently sign up for a trial of Uplay Plus that will run from September 3rd-30th. As of now, the service will only be available on the PC, with some type of Stadia integration coming next year.

Audience plants in general are annoying. There’s polite applause and then there’s loud cheering for mundane announcements, which gets old quick. But Bethesda’s crowd took it to a whole other level, yelling and screaming after almost every sentence. It was a small contingent, for sure, but you just know that they had mics next to them to drown out any potential boos. Shout out to that one guy who cheered after every sentence. You earned your paycheck for sure.
