Assassin's Creed 2

As reported several days ago, Ubisoft is offering Assassin’s Creed 2 on PC for free to anyone with a Uplay account. Head here to claim and download it. You have until April 17th to do so act quickly. This isn’t the last of Ubisoft’s free game offers – it was giving away Rayman Legends not too long ago for a limited time.

Assassin’s Creed 2 first released in November 2009 for consoles before coming to PC several months later. It follows the story of Ezio Auditore da Firenze in Renaissance-era Italy as he battles the Templars and goes about avenging his family. The sequel improved significantly on its predecessor, introducing a more varied open world with way more activities and a better story.

The series has had a number of sequels and spin-offs since then. The latest is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – check out our thoughts on the game here. The next title is rumored to be Assassin’s Creed: Ragnarok and will take place in the age of Vikings. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
