Uplay Plus, Ubisoft’s premium subscription service for PC titles, has gone live worldwide. However, it’s suffering from a myriad of issues. Along with links to the service being effectively dead, the company reports that it’s facing heavy loads at the moment. Its teams are currently investigating the same.

However, another issue seems to be that some users are being charged for the first month despite it being a free trial. Though the official support page notes that a payment method is added to “prevent interruption of service after the free trial”. So it should only charge users after the free trial is over i.e. in October.

Despite this, some users reporting being charged all the same. The publisher is investigating this issue as well. It may take some time to iron out all the issues so you might want to hold off on accessing Uplay Plus until then. Stay tuned for more details on the same in the coming days.
