After a long string of rumors and leaks, we finally got the announcement that Assassin’s Creed is going Nordic with this holiday’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game has apparently been in the oven for nearly 3 years with an incredible 15 studios working on it altogether. It’s also the first entry to be coming to the Xbox Series X, and it’s going to be a looker there.

Ubisoft confirmed that the Xbox Series X version of the game will run at 4K resolution, as reported by Windows Central. It’s unclear if that means native 4K or dynamic, but considering the hardware, hopefully it’s the former. It also will feature HDR.

On the Xbox Series X, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also make use of the Smart Delivery that the system will support, which you can read more about here. The game will also come out this holiday season to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
