Telltale’s games have been steadily getting buggier and buggier since they first hit the mainstream with their 2012 hit, The Walking Dead, but with the release of their newest title, Game of Thrones, things seem to have hit an apex- when Telltale released the second episode of Game of Thrones to follow up on their well received pilot from back in December, it turned out that the Xbox One version of the game suffered from a rather egregious glitch- it would delete your save file from the first episode, and none of your choices would carry over, putting a significant dampener on your ability to enjoy the game.
Telltale, however, have confirmed that they are trying to push out a patch to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
“We have submitted a patch to Microsoft to resolve the issue some customers have experienced where Episode One choices did not carry over into Episode Two,” said Telltale.
“We expect the patch to be released in the next 7-10 days and will update this thread as soon as it is available. We really appreciate everyone’s patience and hope to have you playing with your choices very soon.”
Good on them for being so quick on the uptake with this, but seriously, would it kill these companies to actually do some QA on their products for a change?
