Advanced Horse Riding
Traversal is obviously an important aspect of any exploration-heavy open world title, and while heavyweights such as Skyrim and The Witcher 3 have faltered with their horse riding aspects, Breath of the Wild looks to buck that trend. In the newest Zelda title, players will no longer be bound to just one single horse, and you will be able to tame and ride any horse you come across in the open world, meaning you can even tame multiple horses at the same time, and register them all in stables. There’s a lot of depth to this mechanic, apparently- horses will each have defining stats such as strength, stamina and the bond they have with the player, and the harder a horse is to tame, the better it ultimately will be at traversal. For a game that is going to be as focused on exploration as Breath of the Wild, it makes sense that horse riding is going to be a fully featured mechanic, and from the looks of it, it’s going to be very interesting.
