The Wonderful 101

The Wonderful 101 was a wonderful game (pun intended) that came out on the Wii U several years ago. Unfortunately, the collaboration between Nintendo and PlatinumGames was a commercial flop, and has since been mostly forgotten by the former. The latter, however, has kept the flame of hope alive, and now the heroes are making an unlikely return via crowdfunding. Now, we’ve got an idea of what kind of bonuses we could see, should the game receive eve further funding.

The Kickstarter began with stretch goals for PS4 and PC releases of the game (the original goal was only for the Nintendo Switch version). Both of those goals were shattered in less than 24 hours, and now additional goals have been revealed. If the Kickstarter hits $1 million, the game will get a new time attack mode. The fourth and, thus far, final goal is $1.5 million, and if that gets passed we’ll get a new 2D side scrolling adventure called “Luka’s First Mission.” It’s not clear how it’ll be implemented. As of writing this, they have already gotten nearly $900,000, with 31 days remaining for the campaign. You can read about the goals, as well as donate to the project, through here.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered is estimated to release sometime in April on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC, with some tier rewards coming later in the year.
