1987 people experience the true horror of innovation. Or the lack of it but we’d still like to call it innovation. A very different innovatio that nobody understood. This wonder of the world gaming console was launched into the market by World of Wonder. This box came with a clunky gun and the console played some VHS tapes that had movies in it. In these ‘movies’ were strobing targets that were to be shot with that gun. Did we miss anything? No. That’s about all the console did. It had a truly tremendous ‘game’ line up of 5 whole tapes. FIVE! We’ll never know why would even the spawn of Hell’s darkest corner do this to us. But it did happen. And we did weep.

So the next time you mention any of these names and see someone flinch, lease go to them and offer your respects for they have survived an era that some of us can only imagine with horror. They went through it and survived the ride to perdition and mental trauma.

Did we miss out on any console? Let us know in the comments below.
