1. ET The Extra-Terrestrial (Atari, 1982)

Most of you saw this coming – and why not? Developed and published by Atari, Inc. it was given 5 whole weeks of development time. It did so badly, that it actually caused the great video game industry crash of 1983. The inordinate amount of refunds lead to the company dumping all of the unsold cartridges into a landfill in New Mexico, where they were crushed, buried, and later covered in a layer of cement. But the memories will never die.
