Top 4 sequels that won’t get released in 2010

Thinking of getting a hands on the next chapter in Metal Gear Solid? Or are you thinking of what actually happened to Adam Fenix? Perhaps you must be thinking of another treasure hunting adventure with Drake and fighting gangs in Grand Theft Auto V? The answer is you won’t be doing be that in 2010.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Expect 2011 or 2012...not 2010.

Expect 2011 or 2012...not 2010.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was released eighteen months ago and to much fanfare, Rising was announced just last year at E3. As every Metal Gear Solid game takes about three to four years to develop and release it is highly unlikely we would see Solid Snake…oops…Raiden return for this sequel/prequel.

Gears of War 3

Next generation please...

2006 saw the first game in the franchise getting released followed by the sequel in 2008. So it is logical that we might see the third one this year. Sorry folks. Epic won’t be releasing Gears of War 3 this year and in fact Gears of War 3 might be on a next gen console all together.

Uncharted 3

Ypu wont be hanging from any cliffs in 2010!

You wont be hanging from any cliffs in 2010!

If you are thinking to get back in to Nathan Drake’s shoes once again in Q4 2010 than unfortunately you are thinking of making a castle in the sky. No…Naughty Dog won’t be releasing Uncharted 3 this year, but yes; they must have started development on it as soon as they would have wrapped up Among Thieves.

Grand Theft Auto V

Stealing cars? Not allowed in 2010.

Stealing cars? Not allowed in 2010.

Grand Theft Auto IV is undeniably one of the finest games to hit this generation, but what about the sequel? RockStar have been pretty tight lipped about Grand Theft Auto V. So will it get released this year? Answer is NO. Normally Grand Theft Auto games get announced about 15-18 months before release and the game has not even been announced yet. But yes, we might hear that announcement in 2010.
