Patience and Perseverance

Many of us these days are very demanding and want results in an instant, be it in job satisfaction, salary, etc. The list goes on and on. I don’t know if many of you noticed this, but gaming teaches us a lot about patience and perseverance. Getting to the end of the game to find out the plot is an even bigger challenge and headache, yet players manage to have the patience to see it through the end, no matter how bad the game’s ending might be.

Additionally some pretty old games would test your patience just to see how far you could go. Role-playing games with a level-up mechanic often encouraged you to go through side quests in order to become stronger to get through a boss fight.
