Ubisoft have done it again. In another fantastic example of how not to release a game before it’s ready, The Crew has ran into yet another bug that can potentially ruin the experience for you. Ubisoft have admitted, by way of  their forums, that The Crew servers have indeed been causing the game to erase player statistics.

While Ubisoft has admitted to the loss of information such as miles driven and key locations visited, they assure gamers that more important information, Data, Progress etc, hasn’t been compromised. Ubisoft community manager Natchai Stappers writes, “Lately, some players have been encountering an issue where some game statistics [were] lost. Our team has been looking into it and was able to identify the issue. What was happening is that the server was sometimes unable to load your stats and erasing them.”

Ubisoft has since issued a fix, that isn’t really a fix at all. Your information will not be erased, but instead it may not display the correct ones which kind of defeats the purpose of calling it a fix. We’ve been told that the issue will be fixed “for good” when a new patch arrives in the future, in the mean time Stapper writes “if you want to see your stats you can log off and log back into the game a couple of times and you should see them properly.”
