Weapon availability is dependent upon Class selection in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. All of these weapons can individually be upgraded or Ascended through the use of Armoury Data. This guide will outline how to level up all weapons in Space Marine 2.
Weapon Levels
There are four levels of weapon ascendancy:
- Standard (gray)
- Master-Crafted (green)
- Artificer (purple)
- Relic (gold)
Each of these weapons levels has a corresponding Armoury Data currency to accrue in order to upgrade the weapon beyond the 1500 XP maximum of the Standard level.
Master-Crafted Armoury Data
In order to earn these tokens, the quickest method is to run through the Trials, at the end of which green Armoury Data is a guaranteed reward for A-tier completion. Completing all three can be accomplished within 10 minutes, and grants 3 tokens which is enough to upgrade your starting load-out regardless of Class.
Operations
Each of the Operations has 6 distinct discoverable Armoury Data spawn locations where you can collect tokens. Successfully complete the Operation in order to extract Armoury Data. Which color of Armoury Data you collect is based on Threat Level selected:
Minimal: Master-Crafted (green)
Average: Master-Crafted (green)
Substantial: Artificer (purple)
Ruthless: Relic (gold)
A token of another color will never spawn outside of the corresponding Threat Level.
Random Boss Spawns
On any difficulty level, it is possible for a random boss to spawn at any point during an Operation. Defeating this boss can potentially net you additional Armoury Data over and above the guaranteed spawn locations. This is not always true however, and appears to be as random as the mini-boss spawn itself. The color of the Armoury Data token will correspond to the difficulty level.
