Platforms are defined by their exclusives. They set the tone for what the console is, how it is perceived, and what it’s known for. A console’s exclusives determine the legacy of the machine. The Halos, Uncharteds, and Marios of the world often become so synonymous with the platforms they release on that it becomes impossible to disassociate the platforms from the games themselves.

2014 may not have been a banner year for exclusives, but 2015 looks to change that. With that in mind, here are some PS4 exclusives to keep your eye on in 2015.

15. Let It Die

Formerly known as Lily Bergamo (which was quite different and looked pretty interesting), Let It Die springs from the creative mind of Suda51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture. Suda has said that the game’s central theme is death.

If a player dies in one game, he’ll appear in another one as an enemy, alongside normal AI enemies. The title will also, apparently, be free to play. If you like social features, gore, and Suda51’s particular brand of crazy, you should keep tabs on this one.

NMS isnt PS4 exclusive, going to PC to also i think Rime will get blown away by Ori and the Blindforest

    • colonel179

Nobody complains about that when it comes to Xbox games, so let it be.

    • Graf Ulrich 88

No Mans Sky is console exclusive so it won’t be on the Xbox One. It will come to PC but Sony will make sure M$ never get’s it or any sequel. Sony has a excellent relationship with Hello Games.

    • Psionicinversion

yeh thats the thing when sony or MS say console exclusive generally it means it will never be on the other console. Shame really becuase i heard MS helpd NMS out after the flood. but guess thats them being kind

    • John Doe

Sony also did. Your point is irrelevant.

    • xbox1rules23

no mans sky is coming to xbox one. dummy

    • Graf Ulrich 88

Humm figuring you are a Xbox Fanboy you think it’s coming to your console, however Hello Games is only bringing it to PS4 and PC, no plans to bring it another console. Also Sony and Hello Games are very close and have made what I stated to be correct.
Also don’t call disabled veterans, dummy. Since you probably haven’t one nothing for this country but take up space.

    • xbox1rules23

ok DUMMY. it will come to xbox one, you can count on it. also if it doesn’t so what?

    • Jason

“if it doesn’t so what?” It would mean your wrong, and you just called someone a dummy for no point other to show how immature you are. Outside of that nothing.

    • CubicalLake7

When did Hello Games say it was not coming to Xbox? I believe they have not directly answered that question. Just like no one has said one way or another if Tomb Raider is comingto PS4.

    • Psionicinversion

Yeah because they need it won’t be long before playstation brand is all they have in the tech world

    • MrSec84 .

The title is “exclusives to look forward to in 2015”, so it’s games that are only available on PS4 next year, which could very well fit if the developers of NMS don’t release on any other platforms next year.
Rime is actually a true exclusive to PS4, Ori IMO looks great, but I doubt it will blow away Rime and Ori is also going to launch on 360 and PC next year, so it’s not exclusive in any sense of the word.

    • Psionicinversion

Because MS likes games and sony only thinks of them selves, will be funny to see all this restructuring still won’t help them stop bleeding money

    Hey Will,
Very nice article! I know Planetside 2 is on the PC, but that game will be huge for the PS4, as well as H1Z1 and Everquest Next, and DayZ.
2015 will be a huge year for PS4 in terms of exclusives and console/PC exclusives.
Sadly, Xbox has 1 major game for next year Halo 5, the rest aren’t confirmed for 2015, possibly 2016. I’m excited to hear the surprises coming out of the PlayStation Experience in December.
    Cheers!!!

Technically Xbox One has Quantum Break and Fable Legends confirmed as true exclusives coming in 2015, but that’s about it.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is obviously coming to other platforms eventually, but it’s also available on 360, so it technically not exclusive.

PS4 definitely has the biggest line-up of exclusives for a console in 2015.

Those F2P games like H1Z1 and Planetside 2 look amazing IMO.

    • Graf Ulrich 88

Oh your right I forgot both of those are coming out in 2015, so that’s 3 major exclusives for the Xbox One.
Sony is gearing up for PlayStation Experience which should have a few surprise announcements and updates on other games we know about. Also Sony usually reveals something at VGX.
      Cheers,

Yep Scott Rhode was teasing that they may show off stuff they shouldn’t be yet.
There was also a poster of all of the developers attending the show and amongst them were Sucker Punch, Santa Monica, San Diego, what looks like the Guerrilla Cambridge logo, Media Molecule and Naughty Dog.

Of course there will be developer panels about techniques used in game development, but there’s little reason for Santa Monica to be there because they aren’t the core developers for any of the projects they’ve been collaborating on.
Cambridge also doesn’t make much sense a developer panel contributor, unless they’re just there to talk about Mercenary on Vita.

VGX is a great point, usually that’s where the latest Uncharted gets a new trailer and further details.
Ratchet & Clank is meant to have details and the first gameplay shown this fall, so PS Experience would be perfect for that.

  • xbox1rules23

wow let it die and deep down. f2p games. LOL

    • John Doe

Free to play is simply a business model. It has nothing to do with whether a game is AAA or fun. Normal business models, you pay $60 up front but DLC and extra content must also be purchased. Free to play you pay over time. Forza 5 wasn’t free to play but you had to pay $60 for a half assed game and then pay extra extra for the rest of the game.

  • Guest

Wow, that’s a lineup of mediocrity. Sony’s definitely going for quantity over quality.

    • John Doe

Are you referring to Xbox or PlayStation? You just described Xbox this year. It looks even worse for Xbox next year. All Microsoft has done this year is release either….

      A. Timed 3rd party exclusives (which they lied about)
      B. Halfassed games with microtransactions (Forza 5 and Killer Instinct)
      C. Kinect games

    • MrSec84 .

No this is an extraordinary line-up, Sony have gone for both quality and quantity. This line-up doesn’t include everything that could make it exclusively onto PS4 next year, GT7 could be in there, along with WiLD and perhaps other games that could come from Sony’s award winning 1st party studios.

No other console line-up touches this one in 2015.

  • KevJumbaify .

    No WiLD at all?

  • dj624 dj624

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End please don’t say ” ONE LAST TIME”. This series is way too good for it to end.

  • Charles the Returned

Whether just rumored or timed exclusives, these are some of the PS4 titles I am looking forward to:
Bloody Roar 5, Street Fighter 5, J Stars Victory VS +, Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, No Man’s Sky, Persona 5, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, Uncharted 4, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, Bloodborne, Planetside 2, a new Crash Bandicoot game and more. Not to mention all the cross-console big AAA titles. I hope we can get JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle ported to the PS4@60fps too!

    • Shawn Michael Delos Santos

Dont forget Naruto UNS 4 ..

  • Nikhil Sharma

Very nice article and great info on the games too.
