ARMS’ Newest Versus Mode Lets Players Control Hedlok

Coming in today's update along with Max Brass.

Nintendo’s arena fighter ARMS is receiving more than just a new character (“The Commish” Max Brass). The July 12th update will also include a few balance changes and a new versus mode that lets players control Hedlok.

The overall objective sees 2 to 3 players fighting for a Hedlok mask and whoever grabs it first will become the man himself. As per producer Kosuke Yabuki when speaking to Eurogamer, “If one player turns into Hedlok it’ll be up to the other players to take him down. The Hedlok mode won’t just be available in one v one versus modes – it’ll be available online and in every multiplayer mode.”

As for balancing changes, Yabuki said, “One thing I definitely think about, and that I’m not a fan of, is when it’s possible to win using one technique over and over again, repeating the same thing and winning like that. That’s something, in terms of the game balance, that we’re thinking about and trying to adjust it so that’s not possible.”

Along with all this, players can also expect a new stage. Stay tuned for more information on patch notes in the coming hours.
