Assassin’s Creed Origins looks like exactly the kind of breath of fresh air that the series needed- a structural and narrative ‘soft reboot’ of the franchise, so to say. It also looks like it will continue the franchise’s long held tradition of technical proficiency- the game promises to look stunning on all platforms.

But for the console versions, at least, the crown jewel will be the Xbox One X version- this is the version that we have been seeing a lot of, and the version that is likely to represent, to console players, the developers’ ultimate vision for what the game should look like.

A brand new video of the game shows us footage from the Xbox One X version of the game- we get to see Memphis, Pyramids, Bayek reuniting with his wife, and many more things in this footage, so be sure to give it a watch for yourself below. Assassin’s Creed Origins is due out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 27.

I guess I was just expecting something better. Something a little newer, something a little more special than this. This is just more Assassin’s Creed. Its just kinda meh for me. Same boring gameplay with a new location, and a new coat of paint.

What you said is true, for so many games. Same game new skin..

It surely won’t get much love from the PlayStation crowd knowing their version is not the best anymore and that goes for any third party title.
It will be a difficult time for those who loved to see Xbox trashed in game comparisons and won’t feel that pat on the back, you’ve made the right choice feeling.
Times change and the beating of the exclusives drum will be drowned out by the release of BIG hitters like RDR2 proving third party titles are what the masses want, not just exclusives.
In the end, those that have bought an Xbox One X are gonna be happy no matter what because on day one they will have a system that boosts their whole library to a new graphical level.

Funny, I’m reminded of AC Unity where even the PC version was worse than the Xbone version thanks to a certain marketing deal.

It’ll be easy to laugh when your precious 1.8TF beast fails to justify the wait the price tag with less blurriness while most people are playing on OG PS4 and PC. It’ll be easier to laugh because you Xgimps never understood that Xbox got trashed for more reasons than just power. But then you never were too smart.

less blurriness = better , so I been told

I have a gaming pc too so don’t forget that I’m a pcgimp too & possibly an OLED TVgimp as well.
Hey I just don’t consider the price to be a problem for what I’m buying.
Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

He mentions the price a lot. I am not sure why.
