Bungie Alumni Reveal New Game: Fallen Frontier

Moonshot Games is an indie games studio led by: Michel Bastien, who was a producer on Halo 2 and 3, Damián Isla, who led Halo’s AI design and Rob Stokes, who was a design lead on Halo 3 and a designer and writer on Halo 2. The team have now announced their first game; a 2D side-scrolling shooter called ‘Fallen Frontier’. A very small Q&A was published on the Moonshot Games site stating that they are aiming to have the game released within the first half of 2012 and that they are hoping to release it on Steam, XBLA and PSN, though the title is currently without a publisher. See the announcement video above for a brief idea of the story and some early gameplay footage.

I don’t know why but by the time I got half way through the video “Jayce and the wheeled warriors” came to mind (yeah I know I’m showing my age)… must be something to do with the animation style of the game or something. Anyway on to the game itself, it does look like it could be fun, I think I’d need to play the trial/demo before I doled out any cash for it cos I find games like this can lose their appeal after a short amount of time. It could simply be that I played loads of there type of games growing up and have out grown them or maybe they just don’t hold my attention anymore but either way I would definitely try it.

lol, nice comment berrytastic. as a long time bungie/Halo fan in my eyes Bungie can do no wrong. I think this game is going to be epic, especially now that Bungie is out to prove that there is life afer Halo…hopefully.
