Call of Duty: World War 2 Will Feature Multiple Playable Nations

That said, the Allies and Axis Powers will never be on the same team.

Call of Duty: World War 2 looks to be a return to the franchise’s roots, at least as far as the setting goes- however, it sounds like the game will also be taking cues from classic Call of Duty titles by letting players play from a multitude of different nations in multiplayer mode.

“Yes. WWII was a global conflict with multinational forces on both sides. We’re focused on the European theater, with a diverse ensemble cast of playable MP nations,” Michael Condrey confirmed on the game’s sub-Reddit.

That said, he did confirm that while you can play as multiple different nations, players who are playing as the Allies will never be teamed up with players playing as the Axis Powers- a team will only be composed of one or the other, but never both. Which… I guess that sounds sensible enough? I don’t see why anyone would complain about this.

Call of Duty: World War 2 is due out this November on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
