Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Revealed for Wii U at Nintendo Direct

Toad takes centre stage in a new adventure.

Another unexpected reveal in Nintendo Direct for E3 2014 was Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, an exploration puzzle game for the Wii U which has you playing as a Toad on an adventure.

Just stay with us for a second.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will explore levels in the famous Mario universe along with encountering different foes like Goombas and even Kamek. You’ll be able to use the Wii U GamePad in some levels such as on the minecart to effectively take down Piranha plants. It’s intriguing especially since it’s unlike most Mario games released till now. Check out the gameplay trailer above to see what we mean.
