With FIFA 13’s release date looming large on the horizon with just over two weeks to go, details about the game are starting to come in hot.
In our recent interview with EA Sport, FIFA 13’s Line Producer Nick Channon talked about whether or not the PC version of the game will be up to scratch when compared to the console versions, and what exclusive features can fans expect.
“Last year FIFA 12 brought the Player Impact Engine over to PC so that the game was identical to FIFA on the X360/PS3,” he said. “It is the same this year.”
He continued: “For FIFA 13, PC gamers will be happy to know that they will be able to play using their mouse and keyboard. This is something we are trying this year for offline games. We have also introduced a new feature for PC called Teammate Control that enables you to use the mouse on attack to draw running paths for teammates, essentially directing them into areas you want them to exploit.
“Defensively, you’ll be able to use this feature to man mark attacking players. All you have to do is use the mouse to select at an opponent and your nearest teammate will go over to defend him.”
Sounds pretty good.
