Halo 5: Guardians

It seems that Halo 5: Guardians will not be making an appearance at the Gamescom event next week. Microsoft have officially announced its Xbox One line up and Halo 5 is no where to be seen. Given that Gamescom is one of the major gaming expos of the year, it’s kind of shocking that Microsoft will not be bringing one of its heavy weight titles to the event.

Given the recent loss of Dead Rising 3 and Ryse Son of Rome’s Xbox One exclusivity, one would expect Microsoft to show off Halo 5, cementing their authority in first person shooters but their entire focus is on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The event will offer 4v4 tournament, multiplayer hands on and live stream of the remastered edition. Microsoft will also reveal yet-to-be-announced map with multiple game types.

Halo 5: Guardians launches in 2015, exclusively for the Xbox One. The game might use VR technology to further enhance the gameplay. For more on the game check out our wiki here.

It makes sense. Focus on the Master Chief Collection right now. It’s going to be pretty good itself and I can see why they don’t want to take attention away from that

    • Mark

Yeah but they should mention the Guardians Beta, with a bit of details on it.

I think people need to let go of them losing ryse and dead rising. Microsoft has always supported PC and they didn’t see those games as major titles (and neither did anybody else) so they let them go. It’s really not a big deal. They’re keeping their heavy hitters.

    • I agree and in the process they are helping the developers make more profit also.

    • David

Exactly. And we already know crytek is having issues

Did anyone expect more halo 5 info? I didnt. Its still to early and going by history ms had always guarded halo. I’d rather them focus on stuff we don’t know much about. We know what halo is already.

As for this vr nonsense. This site really needs to stop reporting that as if its a thing. Just because a guy who works at 343 bought himself an occulus doesn’t mean they are using it in halo. That is a massive leap. The guy bought it for personal use. Occulus isn’t compatible with either console yet this site keeps reporting it. Click bait

halo 5 will be big for Microsoft at the 2015 E3 event. right now they don’t need to showing much about the game. in fact, they shouldn’t have said anything about it at all.

    • Bugdiecat

poor ms. it will be the only big game they’ll have at e3 15.

    • Vious

Ok, I’ll make no future predictions at this time.

I don’t care about Halo 5 at the moment or want to care until next year, I want MS to focus on lesser known titles like ScaleBound and Phantom Dust.
Halo 5 is still too far away.
