Heroes of the Storm Alpha

Blizzard finally threw its gauntlet into the MOBA genre last week with Heroes of the Storm, and they are already shaking things up as far as genre conventions go- today, Blizzard announced an actual new expansion for their MOBA. It’s called Eternal Conflict, and among other things, it features a lot of crossover content from Diablo, including the Monk, as well as a boss battle from the game.

Apart from that, the first mobile support character coming to the game, the Skeleton King has been added to the title, and loads of new playstyles and abilities will be making their way over.

Personally, I am interested to see how bundled expansion packs for the game will work in a genre traditionally known for piecemeal updates and allowing consumers to choose what additional content they want for their game a la carte. Blizzard nay just change the game here, or be in for a rude awakening.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more E3 coverage.
