Hirokazu Yasuhara joins Nintendo of America

Posted By | On 05th, Apr. 2012

Hirokazu Yasuhara, who directed the original four Sonic games has joined Nintendo of America, Gamasutra reports. He now works at the studio which was responsible for creating Metroid Prime Hunters and the Mario vs Donkey Kong series.

This seems like a very interesting move as Sega and Nintendo were arch rivals once and a key Sega employee heading to Nintendo is a big deal indeed. It must be an overwhelming moment for him.

Before joining Nintendo, he worked at Namco Bandai and also worked on some Naughty Dog games like Uncharted and Jak & Daxter.

We do not know what exactly is his role at NoA, but we will keep you updated once we get more information on this. We wish him good luck at his new job and hope he continues to make world class games.
