Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2 is an upcoming first person shooter that can be played alone or cooperatively with up to six players. Players will fight against waves of  zombie like specimens, known as Zeds. The game is currently set for a launch on PC and PlayStation 4. GamingBolt recently got the chance to speak to Alan Wilson who is the VP of Tripwire Interactive, the developers behind the game.

Alan confirmed that they are targeting 1080p and 60 frames per second on the PS4 version but he is not sure whether they will be able to achieve it. “Its a TARGET. Will we achieve it? Don’t know – but we’ve already got the game running on a pretty broad spectrum of hardware on the PC,” he said.

He also revealed that a Xbox One version will probably come along sometime in the future. “Oh, it most likely will. Just that Sony were far easier to work with, had been on the ball for a long time, helping us along. And Microsoft didn’t. So it goes to PS4 first (and exclusively).” He termed the possibility of an Xbox One version as highly probable.

So it seems that Killing Floor 2 will will be a timed console exclusive for the PS4 and we will see a Xbox One version sometime in the future.

Stay tuned for our full interview with Alan Wilson in the coming days.

    So 900P then

Not tripwire’s fault. Bad workers blame their tools. Good workers do what they can with bad tools.

    • Thad Vanity

They could hit 1080p, but then they would have to admit it’s running on the PC equivalent of Low to Medium Settings or something not dissimilar….

    • Clate

You realize Project Cars is 1080p on PS4 at high settings correct?

    • Psionicinversion

high textures, medium to high shadow maps (its half way between) and then medium settings for everything else. Not quite full high dude.

Have to be careful becuase alot of times they call it high settings just because the textures is set to high but its not

And all that translates into looking just a slight bit better on the PC. All you fanboys are the same. Make a big deal out of nothing.

    • Psionicinversion

a slightly bit better is all we need though 😀

    • Poor PS Poor people

Quite a BIG bit better even. It’s funny that he’s saying a bit better, when that’s the only difference between consoles while the PC is already vastly outpacing both.
Gotta love the hypocrisy and double standards of PS Poor people.

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

      “Slight Bit better”

    • kreator

And then you woke up righ?!

    • Thad Vanity

      Car Models are High.
      Shadows are Medium/High.
      Everything else is MEDIUM.

      So not correct…..

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

      Medium settings. Deal with it.

    • Xbot&PhilSpencer69

So a PC fan boy cares about consoles!

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

Care that they hold PC gaming back, of course.

    • Dude, everyone knows your an Xbox fanboy disguised as a PC troll….please gtfo, you’re comments are just toxic to the gaming community.

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

Ah yes. The ad hominem and literally shaking at me to go away because I dispense truth.

      Deal with it

    • Your definition of truth must be very different to the dictionary’s definition of truth…I think you mean delusion.

    • Guest

      Don’t insult the X1’s 900p.

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

      I’m insulting the PS4’s 900P instead :^)

  • Graeme Willy

Lol, it’s one of those things; There was a Killing Floor 1?
Nothing against the developer or the game, I’m sure it is good, but it’s always the games we don’t hear about nearly as often that promote their title by saying these things.

    • it’s kev

Yeah, there was a Killing Floor 1, but it was a PC exclusive. It was actually really popular and successful on Steam, too. There’s still an active community there, as well. Not to mention, it was a really solid game. Which was weird to say when I first played it, because, trust me, I’m sick of zombies too.

Although, to be fair, they aren’t really “zombies”, they’re mutants cloned in a factory. Zombies are walking corpses, when these guys are alive and well, they just… born kind of funky-looking.

  • Charles – The Great and Powerf

    Uhm, looks pretty lame.

  • ImOnaDrugCalledSheen

“Just that Sony were far easier to work with,”

Should be the official tag line for this console gen.

    • You Are Flat Out Wrong

No the tagline for this console gen is “silky smooth 24FPS”

  • Cebus Hernandez

ugh wy ps4 :/ well hope it comes soon on xbox one :3

  • Rayban99

I doubt there’s much chance of 1080p 60fps unless they just go with no AA.

  • 7th Sin

I hope it does get released on the Xbox One. I have always played on both systems, but I do not currently have a PS4 nor can I currently afford it.
